A Business Built From Within the Kakamega Community

Riverdcloud was founded by people who grew up here, work here, and plan to remain here.

Who We Are and What We Do

A small, disciplined team offering property, business, and event services in Western Kenya.

Riverdcloud was established in 2018 by a group of five Kakamega-based professionals who had each spent years working for larger organisations — in logistics, property management, and community development — before concluding that the region needed a locally accountable alternative. We operate as a small team of eight, all based in Kakamega County, and we deliberately keep our size manageable so that every client interaction involves a named, known team member rather than a rotating roster of unfamiliar faces. Our work sits at the intersection of three areas: property-related assessments and reporting, operational support for small and micro-enterprises, and logistical coordination for events and goods movement within the county. We are not a large agency and we do not pursue large agency contracts — our focus is the household, the market trader, the small shop owner, and the community group that needs a dependable professional on their side.

How We Work — and Where Our Limits Are

Transparency about our process and our boundaries is not a weakness — it is the foundation of a workable relationship.

Every engagement at Riverdcloud follows the same sequence: an initial conversation to understand the need, a written scope with a fixed price, execution by a named team member, and a written close-out summary. We have completed more than 340 engagements since 2018 — across property assessments in Kakamega, Mumias, and Malava; business support visits to retail and wholesale clients on Atwoli Road and the Kakamega Municipal Market; and event coordination for church fundraisers, school prize-giving days, and corporate team events at Kakamega Forest-area lodges. We are honest about what we cannot do: we do not hold engineering, electrical, or medical qualifications, so any referral that requires those disciplines goes to accredited specialists whom we know and trust. Results in business support depend significantly on the client's own willingness to act on findings — we document and advise, but we cannot compel a supplier to correct an error or a shop owner to adjust their stock policy. Our value is in the clarity and reliability of what we deliver, not in guaranteeing outcomes that are outside our control.

Community Voice

“What I value most about Riverdcloud is that they are genuinely from here. When I described a challenge with my rental property on Shivachi Road in January 2024, the team knew the road, knew the building era, and understood the tenant dynamics without me having to explain everything from scratch. That local knowledge saved us at least two site visits.”
